Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham MP has been given a preview of the Titan 650.
He was given a tour of the Atlas Pile Testing Systems production facility within the Datum Group ahead of its summer launch.
The former Shadow Health Secretary joined Datum CEO and Atlas lead Rory O’Rourke for the launch of the ‘Life Chances’ report commissioned by Bury council.
The report highlighted 25 recommendations designed to improve the life chances for young people living in Bury with businesses.
Bury Council chose Datum Group, the home of Atlas Pile Testing to highlight the opportunities that exist and to discuss the skill-set lacking in Greater Manchester.
Mr Burnham, said:
“Bury is ahead of the game on the life chances agenda. It will feed into our work across Greater Manchester and I can’t think of a better place to launch this report.”
Mr Burnham joined the leader of Bury Council Cllr Rishi Short and Times columnist Phil Collins, the author of the Life Chances report. They were given a tour of the production facilities at Datum and introduced to the Titan 650.
